DURANGO'S BASS FISHING
Lake bayacora - 30min from Durango City

Bayacora Lake view

A great lake for monster bass fishing is the Bayacora Lake. Just 30 minutes from the city of Durango you will find a huge, wooded lake with pine trees and large rock walls. This lake has very good fishing spots distributed in scree, flats and rocky points.

Bayacora has special characteristics that every angler has to know: 1) fishing is more abundant in the afternoon sessions (3 to 7 pm) than in the morning, 2) the size of the bass is bigger on average than the other lakes in the region, averaging from 2 to 4 kilos, however their catch rate is medium, you will have to fight for them 3) mostĀ  anglers that enjoy the lake do it with catch and release.

It has a restaurant with very good regional food. We recommend the gorditas
